During the winter months, dramatic sports sessions are typically held indoors to maintain consistent lighting, safety, and overall image quality.

Indoor sessions require reserving professional studio or gym spaces that allow for controlled lighting and special effects. Because of this, winter sessions may include additional studio-related costs, which vary depending on location, group size, and session length.

Whenever possible, sessions held at client-provided indoor facilities (gyms, practice spaces, training centers) help reduce or eliminate these costs.

Individual Dramatic Sports Session

Showcase your athletic skill and intensity with a personalized 30-minute Individual Dramatic Sports Session, designed for athletes in Thornton, Denver, and the greater Colorado area who want bold, dynamic imagery that captures the emotion, power, and presence of their performance.

This one-on-one experience allows for focused creative direction and a fully customized setup—whether that includes smoke, fire, powder, water, or a dramatic backdrop—resulting in striking, cinematic portraits that stand out.

Your session includes professionally edited, high-resolution images, delivered through a private online gallery for easy viewing, downloading, and sharing. Each athlete will receive access to all of their fully edited images.

Whether you’re preparing for recruitment, team media, personal branding, or simply want powerful images that reflect your dedication to your sport, this session is crafted to help you stand out and tell your unique sports story.

On-location sessions can be held outdoors, under a covered structure, or inside an existing indoor space such as a school gym, training facility, or club-owned venue, provided the space allows for controlled lighting and safe use of visual effects.

When a suitable indoor space is available, teams can achieve a clean, dramatic look without the need for a rented studio, helping keep overall costs lower while maintaining a professional result.

Studio-Based Dramatic Team Sessions

Studio sessions offer a fully controlled lighting environment and consistent results regardless of weather or available space. These sessions require additional setup, teardown, and facility rental time.

For groups of 10 or more athletes, the price is $60 per person for a standard session or $100 per person for Smoke and Fire. This includes individual portraits as well as optional group shots. Team sessions are great for club teams, school sports, or leagues looking for a professional media day experience. Have less than 10 people? No Problem! The standard Group Session is $600. For Group Smoke/Fire Shoots the session is $700.

Sessions can be held at your home field, school or club gym, local park, stadium, or any location that fits your sport and overall vision. For group sessions, existing indoor spaces such as school gyms or training facilities often work well and can help avoid the need for a rented studio.

During the winter months or when weather or space is a factor, studio sessions are available and provide a fully controlled environment for dramatic lighting and effects. Studio space is billed separately and a studio facility fee will apply, based on the total time required for setup, shooting, and teardown. Any studio costs are always discussed and confirmed in advance.
In most cases, the client is responsible for securing the location for the session. When a studio is required, Narrative Imagery will coordinate the studio space and include the facility fee as part of your booking.
