Cheer Photos with Rebel Girl Athletics | Creative Water Shoot

This cheer photoshoot with Rebel Girl Athletics was one of the most creative and fun sessions I’ve done. Christy, the mom of Hartley, has been wanting to set up a shoot for months, and we finally made it happen. She brought together a group of cheerleaders from different teams, all part of the Rebel Girl Athletics brand, and we decided to try something new—incorporating water.

My idea was to freeze splashes of water behind each cheerleader as they posed, creating dramatic and unique images. The effect turned out even better than I imagined, capturing both the athletes’ strength and artistry. Afterward, we jumped into the lake for more playful, natural shots.

This was such a fun group to work with—seven cheerleaders full of personality and confidence. Four of them I’ve photographed before, and it’s always exciting to see how they grow with each new session.
